I stopped by randomly looking to explore audio upgrades to my ‘23 Camry, as the factory JBL system was woefully inadequate. I’m no audiophile or musician, but I know what type, quality and volume of sound I like. I’ve had really good experiences with JL Audio in the past, which Car Tunes sells. With that in mind, I was really going into the exploration process determined to make a JLA setup work for this new project. Upon talking with the guys at Car Tunes, they gladly would’ve sold me whatever I wanted, but could sense that I wanted something a little more than what they felt JLA might give me this time around. They turned me on to Hertz and Audison products, which I had never heard of before. I took their recommendations with me and did some research. Liking what I read online, I worked directly with Jim to put together what ended up being an absolutely amazing sounding system. Went with Hertz Millie Pro 3-ways up front and coaxials in the rear, all powered by an Audison DSP amp. We enhanced the bass with one JLA 12” sub/box ran by another Audison amp. The goal was to create a full active setup, that was the real game changer here. The DSP and full active setup created an unbelievable sound quality at volume levels that are more than adequate. Jim’s knowledge and willingness to negotiate, combined with Chris and Derrick’s professional installation and tuning skills, leave me one happy customer. All three provide excellent service, and Jim even called for a follow up on my level of satisfaction a day or two after installation.
